Invisalign Treatment

Invisalign was established in 1999 and is a new and exciting practice in straightening teeth, using breakthrough equipment and techniques that create gorgeous smiles without bands, brackets or wires. Using 3D imaging your treatment is well thought out and results will be seen even before you start treatment.  Invisalign is pretty much invisible and gives patients another option to braces. Not all problems can be resolved with Invisalign and an appointment with Dr Whyte (Red Hill Orthodontist) will answer your queries.

What is it?

Using a series of nearly invisible custom made removable aligners (like thin clear plates), Invisalign straightens teeth in stages. Approximately every 2 weeks the next series of aligner is started by you and worn at least 22 hrs each day. Each visit with us we provide you with several new Invisalign aligners and monitor the progress, sometimes doing additional procedures to allow treatment to run effectively. In most cases 3 or 4 sets are issued so that your appointment intervals can be spaced 6-8weeks apart. Our Invisalign aligners are easy to wear. These Invisalign aligners are also removable, meaning patients can consume food, consume fluids, brush and floss teeth as usual.

Invisalign Treatment Appointments

Each patient is special however treatment often takes between 6-24 months, the usual time frame is 12 months. You will see Dr Michael Whyte for Red Hill Invisalign checks and readjustments. During these appointments additional aligners are provided to further your progress. Treatment will work for most, provided the aligners are worn 22 hours daily.
